Something about myself:
Born in Los Angeles, California I have always been fascinated by creating works of art and was fortunate to have been surrounded by numerous art institutions. In 1991, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Individualized Studies from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles afforded me the opportunity to experiment with various branches of art. My primary focus was costume design earning both a Meritorious Achievement Award for millinery and masks from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, and LMU Theatre & Dance Department awards for costume design. Drawing, graphic design, calligraphy, and jewelry-making were also included in my curriculum. While costuming was not pursued as a career upon graduation, it is my foundation. After a 20-year stint in the automotive industry, I returned to school earning a Master of Fine Arts degree from Claremont Graduate University in California. Finally embracing my calling as an artist, I am now fully committed to promoting and advocating for collective, societal peace.
